Frequently Asked Questions
Q – Can I come to the Inspection?
A – Absolutely! You are welcomed and encourage to meet with your Home inspector on site near the end of the inspection. Give your Inspector time to focus on the home without ‘shadowing’ him and you will get an infinitely better inspection. He will take you on a verbal ‘walk-thru’ and answer all your questions at the end. This is some of the best time we will spend together!
Q – What guidelines does my Inspector use when inspecting my new Home?
A – McPhaul Home Inspections uses Standards of Practice as prescribed by the State of South Carolina. Our South Carolina State Standards are molded after the widely accepted Standards of Practice that are created and maintained by the highly acclaimed American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI). Q – Do I have a contract with McPhaul Home Inspections?
A – Yes. My contract with you is a legally binding agreement (Pre-inspection Agreement) that is an important part of the Home Inspection process. Our Agreement clearly sets the expectations for the home inspection. Click on the link below to review our Agreement.
We will ask you to review and “Agree” to the terms of the contract prior to your inspection date (or, in some cases, prior to receiving your report). This can be done by standard signature or digital signature (on-line).
Q – Does McPhaul Home Inspection adhere to a “Code of Ethics” for their Home Inspections?
A – Yes! We think you will be pleased with how we run our Inspection business.
